But you won't see this story leading the evening news. You won't see Anderson Cooper furrowing his brow over the strategic brilliance of wiping out 177 enemy combatants in 48 hours. You won't see MSNBC running a chyron that says "TRUMP MILITARY OPERATION LARGEST SINCE 9/11." That would require them to admit something they'd rather swallow glass than say out loud: Trump's approach to fighting terrorism is working.
So instead, they bury it. They ignore it. They pivot to whatever manufactured outrage is trending on the app formerly known as Twitter and hope you never find out that your tax dollars actually funded something that made the world measurably safer this weekend.
