A federal judge recently blocked the FBI from robbing information from the phone of Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe after a raid on his home was conducted and multiple pieces of property were confiscated last weekend.
The chilling and frightening raid was an obvious abuse of power and overreach by law enforcement and directly interferes with protected journalism. The raid seemed eerily reminiscent of China’s crackdown in Hong Kong against journalists who stood up to the government earlier this year.
O’Keefe claims that his phone contains information that would reveal several other projects that his organization is working on, projects he says that the Biden Administration has an interest in covering up.
At 6 a.m. last Saturday, a phalanx of FBI agents arrived at O’Keefe’s apartment, taking off with all of his electronics and information. They claim that the seizure would help them discover how Project Veritas came to possess President Biden’s daughter’s diary.
The FBI insists that the diary was stolen, but O’Keefe rejects that story.
Ashley Biden, the president’s daughter, allegedly authored a diary that contains disgusting and dirty secrets about the Biden family.
Judge Analisa Torres put a halt on the FBI’s KGB-like behavior, instructing them to stop exploiting information on O’Keefe’s phone and to provide proof that they’d done so by Friday.
BREAKING! The federal court has just ordered the DOJ to STOP extracting data from our client, journalist James O’Keefe’s phone, and ordered a hearing. Counsel for Project Veritas asked the court to do this yesterday! pic.twitter.com/nBrmf4myuj

Project Veritas and O’Keefe have been negotiating with the Justice Department regarding the diary and its true provenance since 2020.
Unless it’s true that O’Keefe stole the diary, there is no reason why his possession of the document is any different than an everyday tip to the Washington Post or New York Times when they receive a leaked document.
The new, intentional intimidation and intrusion by law enforcement into journalism under Biden is the most frightening threat to the American way of life in history.
For the Biden-Harris administration, this is hardly a new tactic, however, as the raid is closely reminiscent of the raid directed by former California Attorney General Kamala Harris, who used secret-police style tactics to shut down journalist David Daleiden’s coverage of Planned Parenthood’s black market for aborted baby parts.
