The WHCD Shooter Was an ActBlue Donor — Because of Course He Was

So the guy who opened fire at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner — the one who tried to assassinate members of the Trump administration at a black-tie event in Washington, D.C. — turns out he was sending money to ActBlue. Cole Allen, would-be federal assassin, was a paying customer of the Democrat Party’s fundraising machine.

Welcome to clown world, where “saving democracy” apparently includes bankrolling the guy who brings a gun to dinner.

Let’s walk through this slowly for the folks in the back. ActBlue is the centralized fundraising platform that powers virtually every Democrat campaign in the country. Every “chip in $5 to save America!” email your liberal aunt forwards you? That money flows through ActBlue. Every panicked “TRUMP IS LITERALLY HITLER” text message that hits your phone at 2 a.m.? ActBlue gets a cut. It’s the financial spine of the entire Democratic operation.

And Cole Allen — the man who decided the best way to participate in the political process was to start shooting at people — was a donor.

Now, we’re not saying ActBlue radicalized this lunatic. We’re saying something much more interesting than that. We’re saying that the same ecosystem that spent years telling its supporters that Donald Trump is an existential threat to human civilization, that his administration officials are “fascists” and “Nazis” and “threats to the republic,” collected money from a guy who apparently took all that rhetoric seriously enough to pick up a weapon.

Funny how that works.

The Democrats have spent the better part of a decade cranking the temperature up to eleven. “Democracy is on the line!” “This is the most dangerous moment in American history!” “If we don’t stop them, there won’t BE an America!” They pump that stuff into every fundraising email, every cable news hit, every breathless social media post. And then when some deranged follower acts on it? Suddenly it’s “an isolated incident” and “we need to have a conversation about gun violence.”

(Translation: please stop looking at the radicalization pipeline and start blaming the gun.)

Remember — this is the same ActBlue that got caught up in allegations of fraudulent donations, where people’s names and addresses were being used for contributions they never made. The same platform that Democrats treat like it’s sacred infrastructure, untouchable, beyond scrutiny. The same operation that funnels hundreds of millions of dollars into campaigns that spend half their ad budgets telling voters that Republicans are going to destroy their lives.

And one of their donors just tried to murder people at a dinner party.

The media, predictably, will spend the next 72 hours doing everything in their power to avoid connecting these dots. They’ll talk about “mental health.” They’ll talk about “access to firearms.” They’ll run panels with “experts” who speculate about “online radicalization” without ever mentioning which online ecosystem was doing the radicalizing.

But we can all read, can’t we? Follow the money. ActBlue donor. Democrat fundraising apparatus. Years of apocalyptic rhetoric about Trump and anyone who works for him. And then a shooting at an event full of Trump administration officials.

You don’t need a detective’s badge to connect those dots. You need a crayon and a straight edge.

The real question nobody in the legacy media will ask is this: how many more Cole Allens are out there? How many people have been donating $10 and $25 to ActBlue while simultaneously convincing themselves that the people they’re donating against are literal enemies of the state who need to be stopped “by any means necessary”?

Because that’s the phrase, isn’t it? “By any means necessary.” We’ve heard it from the protest signs. We’ve heard it from the cable news anchors. We’ve heard it from the politicians themselves. And now we’ve seen what it looks like when someone takes it literally.

The Democrat fundraising machine didn’t pull the trigger. But it sure did help build the world where pulling the trigger made sense to the guy who did it.

Sleep tight, Democrats. Your donor base is doing great.
