Israel Support Poll Surprises Everyone

A Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR) study indicates that 52% of American citizens support the Biden administration’s decision to cease military sales to Israel.

In a statement, the think tank mentioned a recent YouGov survey it oversaw and said, “52% of Americans believe that the US government should stop weapons shipments to Israel until Israel stops its bombardment of Gaza.”

In a similar vein, 62% of those who voted for Biden in the 2020 presidential contest demanded that the federal government cease providing Israel with weapons until the harsh punitive campaign in Gaza comes to an end.

Just 14% of Biden voters disagree with the poll’s conclusion, which is that “The US should cease weapons supplies to Israel until Israel stops its attacks on the people of Gaza.”

Contrarily, just 30% of Trump supporters are in favor of stopping US military exports, compared to 55% who are against and 15% who are undecided, according to CEPR.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has killed about 30,600 Palestinians and injured almost 72,000 others in Gaza, according to Press TV.

That day saw an attack on Israel proper by the terrorist Palestinian group Hamas, which led the Israeli government to initiate a retaliatory military operation against Gaza.

Due to acute shortages of food, medication, and water, around 85% of Gaza’s population has experienced internal displacement throughout the past five months.

Israel has received unwavering military support from the US administration to continue its ruthless military onslaught against Gaza. There’s growing conjecture that the military assault in Gaza, which appears to be a maze, and the possible battle that may break out along Israel’s northern border with Lebanon might turn into a regional war that pits Israel against Hezbollah and its Iranian backers.

The US should avoid becoming engaged in the Israel-Hamas war in light of these events. It has no immediate national benefit and has the potential to escalate into a larger regional conflict that would jeopardize geopolitical stability.

Sadly, Zionist interest groups have complete control over the US political system, making any shift toward a limited foreign policy at this time all but impossible.
