FBI Tried To Hide This Fact About The Texas Synagogue Situation

On Sunday, the FBI and Associated Press got slammed for their bizarre coverage about the Dallas-Fort Worth hostage situation that took place at Congregation Beth Israel on Saturday.

After saving the hostages and ending the life of the hostage-taker, the FBI attempted to downplay the religious element of the crime. The Associated Press went along with their line, tweeting that “The FBI says [the criminal’s] demands were specifically… not connected to the Jewish community.”

Special Agent Matt DeSarno of the FBI was responsible for the quote that the AP posted.

DeSarno claims that the hostage-taker’s identity and demands gave them no “indication that the man was part of any broader plan,” but promised than an investigation of “global reach” would nonetheless be conducted on the matter.

The AP’s tweet instantly earned them the criticism they deserved for attempting to push such an obvious cover up. Critics questioned the competency of law enforcement officials for arriving at such a bizarre conclusion regarding the perpetrators motive then the investigation on the incident was still at such an early stage.

Other individuals fact-checked the AP’s tweet, and found that despite the fact that the AP and FBI are attempting to smother the religious truth of the situation, that the hostage-taker purposefully chose a synagogue on the Sabbath, on a day where he knew that Jews would be gathered, and did so while demanding that a well-known anti-Semitic terrorist be released from prison.

Yair Rosenberg pointed out that “the gunman did not travel thousands of miles to terrorize some Mormons,” adding that his actions were consistent with “targeting Jews, and there’s a word for that.”

Becket Adams also mocked the FBI for asking the public to ignore the facts about “the choice of venue… of victims… on a Saturday specifically… on behalf of a rather outspoken anti-Semite.”

Christina Sommers, pointing out the facts, noted that the hostage-taker demanded that the convicted terrorist Aafia Siddiqui be released in exchange for the hostages.

An anti-woke participant in the thread noted that “In a society where victimhood status confers prestige, it’s very important that Jews never be seen as victims.”
