The insanity on the left has culminated with the fantastical belief that if human beings stop driving gas-powered vehicles then the invisible monster called ‘Climate Change’ will miraculously be defeated.
It’s a brilliant and effective political scam pulled off by the Democrats for decades now. Liberal politicians claim with all sincerity that unless you vote for a Democrat, the entire world will collapse due to a flimsy theory they once called “global warming” but now referred to as “climate change.”
Democrats don’t really believe this garbage; they just hope you will.
What was previously a niche activist movement has now become a major piece of the Democrat Party platform. In fact, progressive leaders ruling over the deepest blue states have recently passed laws that force car manufacturers to produce a certain amount of electric vehicles per year. Gov. Gavin Newsom even banned gas-powered vehicles in California — and other liberal governors have agreed to follow suit!
Insanity has now become reality and reality has become climate change communism in Democrat-run states.
To make matters even more incredible, California residents are now being told not to charge their electric vehicles due to possible blackouts across the state. This edict comes a mere one week after Newsom signed a gas-powered car ban into law.
The people of California were urged to significantly reduce their use of electricity by turning off unnecessary lights, unplugging appliances, keeping their thermostats high, and not charging any electric vehicles.

The state of California earlier in August banned the sale of new gas-powered vehicles by 2035 as it tries to transition toward electric vehicles. The state also set interim targets, requiring 35% of vehicles sold in the state by 2026 to produce zero emissions, increasing to 68% by 2030. California is the nation’s largest auto market.
Does this not remind you of the Soviet Union — a communist nation that set agricultural quotas for farmers only resulting in a massive manmade famine that killed millions?
The state is also set to fine automakers up to $20,000 for every vehicle that falls short of the state’s production targets.
Democratic Washington Gov. Jay Inslee announced Aug. 24 that his state would follow California’s lead in banning the sale of all gas-powered vehicles by 2035.
We officially live in a banana republic.
