Biden Reveals His Assault Weapon Roundup Plans

President Joe Biden used an address in Pennsylvania on Sat. to encourage voters to cast ballots for John Fetterman (D), promising that the U.S. Senate candidate would assist him in obtaining a “assault weapons” ban.

“But here’s the thing: Safety of the public is really why John got into public services in the first place,” Biden remarked. “Oz is completely unconcerned about guns. But John Fetterman will veto it. Because of your votes, John Fetterman will serve in the Senate and he will be able to assist me in adding one more thing — something I got done while I was still a senator: outlaw assault firearms.”

“Ban them!” he continued. “They should be prohibited. They should be prohibited. They don’t belong in America.”

Since taking office, Biden has been critical of several types of firearms, implying or explicitly advocating for various restrictions.

For example, Breitbart News reported Biden remarking on September 19, 2022, that the continued selling of “semiautomatic guns is odd.”

He claimed there is “no reason” for owning weaponry such as AR-15s, AK-47s, and so on.

Breitbart News reported on May 30, 2022, that Biden claimed a 9mm bullet would “blow the lungs out of one’s body.”

Biden also classified 9mm guns as “high caliber weapons.”

Biden mentioned outlawing 9mm firearms on July 21, 2021, during his first year in office. “The concept that you need a weapon that can fire 20 or even a 120 shots from that firearm, whether it’s a 9mm handgun or a rifle, is ludicrous,” he said. I’m still trying to stop the selling of those items.”
