Of all the code words available in the entire English language — and there are a LOT of them — the Biden administration chose “Benghazi” as their internal code for funneling PPP loans to Planned Parenthood during COVID.
Benghazi. They picked BENGHAZI. The one word in American politics that is literally synonymous with “Democrats covering something up” is the word they chose to cover something up. You’d think at some point during the meeting, SOMEBODY would have raised their hand and said, “Hey, maybe we should pick a code word that doesn’t already mean ‘government scandal where people died and we lied about it’?” But no. These are the people who ran your government for four years.
Reports that surfaced this week reveal that Biden administration officials used the code word to conceal the disbursement of Paycheck Protection Program loans — you know, the money that was supposed to keep small businesses alive during the pandemic — to the nation’s largest abortion provider. Your tax dollars. Laundered through a pandemic relief program. To an organization that took in over $1.6 billion in revenue and didn’t need a dime of PPP money.
PPP was designed for the sandwich shop on the corner that was about to go under because the government told everyone to stay home. It was for the hair salon. The family restaurant. The gym owner who was drowning. It was NOT designed for a billion-dollar organization that gets half a billion in government funding EVERY SINGLE YEAR already.
But Planned Parenthood got the cash anyway. And the Biden team was so worried about people finding out that they created a code word for it.
(And then they picked the worst possible code word. These people couldn’t run a lemonade stand.)
Think about what this tells you about the people who were in charge. They KNEW it was wrong. You don’t create a code word for something you’re proud of. Nobody at the Pentagon uses a code name for “giving troops a raise.” You use code words when you’re hiding something. And they were hiding the fact that they raided a pandemic relief fund — a fund that was running out of money while actual small businesses were closing permanently — and shipped the cash to an abortion mill that was already swimming in federal dollars.
The irony here is so thick you could spread it on toast. Benghazi — the 2012 disaster where four Americans died in Libya, the Obama administration blamed it on a YouTube video, Hillary Clinton said “what difference at this point does it make,” and the whole thing became a symbol of Democratic corruption and coverup. THAT’S the word they picked for their next coverup.
It’s almost like they were taunting us. Or — and this is the more likely explanation — they’re just not very bright.
Remember, these are the same people who told us PPP fraud was minimal. The same administration that said the pandemic spending was all above board. The same crew that lectured us about “following the science” while they were following the money straight into Planned Parenthood’s bank account.
And where was the media on this? Nowhere. The same reporters who spent three years investigating whether Trump’s inaugural committee overpaid for floral arrangements couldn’t be bothered to ask why pandemic relief money was flowing to an organization that performs 390,000 abortions a year. Funny priorities.
The PPP program ran out of money. Small businesses that applied were told “sorry, we’re tapped out.” Restaurant owners who’d been in business for thirty years watched their life’s work collapse. Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood — which has a bigger budget than most Fortune 500 companies’ philanthropic arms — was cashing PPP checks under the code name “Benghazi.”
Every dollar that went to Planned Parenthood was a dollar that DIDN’T go to someone’s mom-and-pop shop. That’s not an abstraction. That’s a barbershop that closed. A daycare that shut its doors. A bakery that couldn’t make rent. Real businesses. Real families. Real people who played by the rules and got told there was no money left — because the Biden administration was busy sending it to an abortion giant under a code name they stole from their own scandal playbook.
They couldn’t even be original about their corruption. They just recycled the name of their last disaster and figured nobody would notice.
Well, we noticed. And now the receipts are public.
