AOC’s Latest Town Hall Turns Into A Disaster

Democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was lambasted by demonstrators during a local town hall gathering with constituents in Queens, New York, on Wednesday night.

Unlike last week’s Bronx town hall, where AOC was taunted by anti-war demonstrators in a sparsely attended town center, the Queens town meeting was packed, and the topics were diverse.

“The protest group came there to speak out against AOC and to protest rising crime rates in NY City, as well as to oppose LGBTQ+ public housing and Regulations, among other things.”

“The gang began chanting “AOC needs to go” while playing the bongo drums as AOC “danced” to their chants. The lights were turned off at one point, and AOC was led out of the room. She returned after the lights were switched back on, stating, “I’m not authorized to be in a room when the lights switched off.” Pro-AOC fans applauded and congratulated her for attending the event.”

AOC, a veteran demonstrator, has previously utilized such disruptive methods. She joined a group of left-wing legislators on a walk across the Capitol in 2019 after taking office to face then-Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY). She was recently removed by police officers from an abortion demonstration before the Supreme Court, where she pretended to be handcuffed.

On Wednesday evening, AOC attempted to persuade the audience, dance to the bongos, and even simulate a local Hispanic accent.

A man in the audience asked people to “give her an opportunity to explain,” stating that he wanted to know why she supported “defunding the cops.”

Dems in the so-called “Resistance,” which was led by the well-financed “Indivisible” group, organized interruptions of Republican town halls in the months leading up to the 2018 midterm elections, frequently traveling to faraway rural areas to interrupt constituent events.

In the Nov. election for New York’s 14th voting district, Ocasio-Cortez will face GOP Tina Forte.
