This week, Vice President Kamala Harris did an interview with Fox News’s Special Report with Bret Baier. And oh boy was there was no “joy.”
Harris’s angry and sometimes hostile answers to Baier’s questions go against the so-called “joyful campaign” she has promised to run, which has been praised by the media.
“The public has never seen Harris get mad during the campaign so far; in fact, she’s full of joy,” Kara Alaimo of the New York Times wrote in September.
“Her campaign uses the newest memes and social media trends in a fun way. Instead of being upset and rude to people like Trump, she’s laughing and smiling on the campaign road.”
That personality trait wasn’t shown in her Fox News interview, which was the first time Harris was asked follow-up questions that seemed to put her on the defensive.
The Trump War Room said Harris was “yelling” at Baier because he was asking the presidential candidate tough questions.
Kamala — screaming — has completely cracked under the pressure of the first non-softball interview of her vice presidency.

The arguments got so heated that Baier said he was sorry for making Harris look nervous. Baird said, “We are talking over each other. I’m sorry.”
A top adviser to Harris’s 2024 presidential campaign, David Plouffe, complained on X that the interview was an “ambush,” as if he was trying to minimize the damage done by his candidates’ actions.
