WATCH: Trump’s New Super Bowl Ad Infuriates RINOs

During the Super Bowl, former President Donald Trump targeted former Governor Nikki Haley of South Carolina with a pointed advertisement. This ad highlighted the conflicting views between Trump and Haley regarding Social Security, focusing particularly on Haley’s efforts to modify her stance on increasing the retirement age.

Trump has openly declared his intention to steer clear of Social Security changes. In January 2023, he stated emphatically that Republicans should not consider cutting funds from Medicare or Social Security.

The ad opens with Haley’s claim, disputed by a referee, where she denies ever suggesting cuts to Social Security or advocating for a higher retirement age. A football commentator then announces a challenge to Haley’s assertion, signaled by the throwing of a red “Make America Great Again” hat onto the field.

The advertisement proceeds to scrutinize Haley’s past statements. In one interview, when questioned about managing entitlements like Social Security and Medicare, Haley suggests that the retirement age of 65 is too low and needs to be raised. Another clip shows Haley advocating for a retirement age adjustment in line with life expectancy.

A sports announcer in the ad suggests that Haley’s remarks are clear-cut, but calls for an official review. Gene Tunni, acting as the referee, concludes after reviewing the evidence that Haley indeed proposed altering the rules to increase the retirement age for Social Security. This change, according to the referee, would effectively reduce benefits for a vast majority of Americans.

The ad concludes with the commentator labeling Haley’s approach as a fundamental error.

This ad, aimed at South Carolina viewers, underscores the contrasting positions of Trump and Haley on a crucial issue like Social Security. Trump’s stance remains firm on not reducing Medicare or Social Security funds, while Haley’s past comments suggest a different approach, leading to potential cuts for many Americans. The ad cleverly uses a sports theme to critique Haley’s position, making a strong political statement during a high-profile event like the Super Bowl.
