Well, for once, Dr. Fauci finally has something to say that many people in the U.S. will actually agree with. America is on its way out of the “full-blown” COVID pandemic phase and is moving to the next, much safer, phase.
Fauci, who sits upon his throne as the chief medical adviser under Biden, says the United States is now heading in a direction that is positive because many people are vaccinated, our treatments are getting better, and so many people have already had the virus, that it makes the virus a more manageable monster as we get into year three of COVID.
Fauci said, “As we get out of the full-blown pandemic phase of COVID-19, which we are certainly heading out of, these decisions will increasingly be made on a local level rather than centrally decided or mandated. There will also be more people making their own decisions on how they want to deal with the virus.”
Fauci also says that he has high hopes that restrictions for COVID will end relatively soon, nothing that he agrees with the suggestion that the restrictions will likely end this year.
There are many states that are already starting the process of lifting COVID rules as omicron variant surges have started to die down. Even states like California, where there’s been an ongoing mast mandate indoors, has a mandate for masks that end in less than a couple of weeks, and many school mandates for masks are also coming to an end in various other states around the nation.
A recent study just found that pandemic lockdowns in the early stages that were meant to stall the spread of COVID were completely ineffective.
Fauci also says that the virus will never be eradicated at this point and those in the public are just going to have to live with it.
He finished up by saying, “We are looking at a time when we have enough people vaccinated and enough people with protection from the previous infection that the COVID restrictions will soon be a thing of the past.”
