The Office of Naval Intel (ONI) conducted a “Pride Ally Outreach” for the intelligence community last week to discuss how to use inclusive terminology in order to “reflect on the reality of transgender people,” according to information obtained by Breitbart News.
Leaders of ONI described the event as follows in emails to staff members:
“Our knowledge of identity and gender is always changing, and the inclusive language we use is also changing. In the same way that we stopped using the pronouns ‘men’ or ‘he’ for referring to everyone in order to recognize having the presence of women in the workplaces, our vocabulary is now evolving to accept the existence of trans people, nonbinary people, as well as intersex people.”
The occasion “is meant as a place to begin to comprehend the ways in which we are able to not only make our ways of speaking more inclusive but also provide alternatives to be less exclusive,” according to the description. “Join the conversation at the Department of Naval Intelligence by showing up. Learn new things, then use what you’ve learned to guide your future behavior.”
An email said the event details was forwarded and could be seen at the bottom of the message. Ronald M. Rose, Chief Diversity, Inclusion, Equity, and Accessibility Officer of ONI, signed the document. His signature featured the pronoun “he/him.”
Based on one of the emails, the office’s senior enlisted sailor urged ONI workers to attend.
“As a part of the all-year ‘Think, Learn, Act’ Enrichment Series, the Diversity, Inclusion, Equity, and Accessibility (DEIA) Department of the Naval Intel Activity (NIA) presented a ‘Intel Community Pride’ event this week. This series aims to engage the NIA staff in lively conversation on a range of subjects. Everyone was invited, and participation in the event is entirely optional.”
The event takes place while the Navy is under fire for designating “Harpy Daniels,” an Active sailor who also is a drag queen, to serve as one of the five Naval Digital Ambassadors to aid in recruiting.
The legislators, led by Representative Andrew Clyde (R-GA), criticized the Biden White House’s adoption of liberal policies all across the United States military, which includes allowing transgender people to enlist – many of them needing medical treatment. Other progressive measures put in place by Biden consist of the Air Force Academy’s ban on the use of “gendered” words like “mother” and “dad,” as well as his decision to let transgender soldiers use the barracks, restrooms, and showers that correspond to their “gender identity” without regard of the genitalia they possess.
In a comment, Clyde said, “The Biden Admin.’s Dept. of the Navy is continuing to enforce radical in nature, careless, and woke measures that discourage capable recruits from being a volunteer to fight for this Nation’s freedoms, even in the face of what a Navy spokesperson describes as ‘the most difficult recruitment environment since the beginning of the all-volunteer force.'”
In his words, “A woke military represents a weak military. We understand this as Navy veterans.”
