According to a poll issued on Thursday, President Biden’s approval has dropped to almost its lowest point during his time in office.
The poll was conducted by the NORC Center of Public Affairs Research, and the findings show changes in voter support for Biden over the last few months.
The president received a 38 percent approval rating in the poll, down from 45 percent in Feb. and 41 percent in January. As the full effect of rising gas, food, and other prices began to strike American consumers in July of last year, his approval ratings dropped to their lowest level in his admin., to 36%.
The polling further highlights concerns about the president’s management of the economy and his authority as he steers the country’s economic trajectory in a world plagued by inflation and bank collapses.
Only 31% of people, which is roughly where it has been for the past year, are satisfied with Biden’s handling of the economy.
According to Breitbart News, Biden has already reacted angrily to those who blame him for inflation and other economic woes.
“I’m over this nonsense,” During a Democrat strategy retreat about issues facing his presidency a year ago, Biden rambled aggressively, “The American people think the reason for inflation is the government spending more money. Simply False.”
Despite his protests, the 80-year-management old’s of the country’s economic situation has been lacking—at least since late 2021, when the inflation the administration had claimed was only temporary—became a heavier burden for households and businesses.
More discrepancies in opinions of Biden’s economic leadership are revealed by the AP numbers:
“Democrats are mostly responsible for the difference between Biden’s economic and overall approval ratings, with 76% saying they agree of how he is handling his job as president while only 63% saying they feel the same regarding the economy. The Republicans generally have divided opinions of Biden.”
“Dems. that are under the age of 45 have lower favorability ratings for Biden, which reduces his numbers. Just 54% of Americans approve with the way the president is handling the economy, in contrast to 72% of Dems. that are over the age of 45. Similarly, only 66% of Dems. under the age of 45 support Biden overall, as compared to 85% of Dems. that are older.”
Using a sample from the probability-based AmeriSpeak Panel, which is intended to represent the U.S. population, the poll of 1,081 individuals was conducted from March 16 to 20. For all respondents, the margin of sampling error is +/- 4.0 percentage points.
