More bad news for President Biden after a year that’s already been brutal for him and fellow Democrats in the polls. The latest survey coming out of NBC News shows that the Democrat Party is on a fast-track to a major defeat in the up-and-coming midterms elections.
Perhaps one of the most indicative of failure is the approval rating for the job Biden is doing as President of the United States. Right now, he’s sitting at a mere 43% approval, and if history tells us anything – that’s not enough to move Democrats forward in the future. History shows time and time again that an approval rating as low as that is bound to lead to a “shellacking’ for whichever party is in power, which in this case is the Democrats.
And as far as the overall mood of America, that doesn’t look so hot either. When it comes to wrong track nations, our number is sitting at a whopping 72%, which is twice in a row that the poll has come out over 70%. In fact, this is only the third time in history that the NBC poll, which has been running for more than 30 years, had two polls that were that off track in a row. Which is just further proof that the GOP is poised and ready to win in the upcoming elections.
And now, with numbers that look like these in the polls, even democrats are ostracizing Biden, and don’t want him to come closer than a ten-foot pole, or more. Beto O’ Rourke for instance, the man who used to be the U.S. representative and is trying his hand at a governor run in Texas, says he doesn’t want Biden to come to his state. He says that he doesn’t want anyone on a national level coming down to Texas. This was his response when asked whether or not he would take Biden’s help if it was offered.
O’ Rourke says that no one in Washington is able to help Texas with the unique challenges that they have.
O’Rourke isn’t the first politician to put Biden at arm’s length, either. Other high-profile figures have distanced themselves from the president, like Stacey Abrams. These are the first, but they’re certainly not to be the last.
