Dream Team – DeSantis And Trump To Join Forces?

According to a recent story, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former President Donald Trump had a secret meeting in Miami on Sunday.

The Washington Post, citing unnamed sources, reported that the two had a pleasant encounter during which they chatted for many hours.

According to the story, the two men met for a purpose. Access to DeSantis’ fundraising network and DeSantis’ ability to excite Republicans would be beneficial for Trump, whose legal fights are taking up a lot of time and money.

The Post stated, “DeSantis has an interest in forging deeper ties as well.” “DeSantis’s tense relationship with Trump is untenable, according to people close to him, especially in light of his uncertain political future. Republican strategists and funders generally see him as debilitated following Trump’s humiliating primary defeat.

After helping to arrange a meeting between the two men, Florida real estate broker Steve Witkoff was able to get DeSantis to commit to teaming up with Trump in an attempt to unseat President Joe Biden.

DeSantis has been on a few lists of possible Trump running mates; these lists are dynamic and change according to what the president suggests and openly speculates in the media.

North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum has been gaining traction as a possible bridge to moderates, according to an earlier Axios article.

According to the story, Burgum’s attendance at an Easter lunch at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort was a show of favor for Trump, and Burgum may help him connect with undecided voters.

Another potential running mate, Gov. Kristi Noem of South Dakota, has faced political backlash ever since the BBC revealed that her planned biography would detail how she shot her dog and slaughtered a goat.

Noem shot the dog after taking her to a gravel pit, according to the memoir, because the dog was “untrainable” and “dangerous.”

She wrote, “It was not a nice job.” “Yet that was necessary to accomplish.”

The episode might be disastrous for Noem’s political prospects, according to pundit Meghan McCain.

She reportedly stated, “You can alter the narrative, recover from a lot of things in politics, etc., but not from murdering a puppy.”

As Noem has noted, there are moments when living on a farm calls for tough decisions.

Although we love animals, farms frequently have to make difficult decisions like this one. We had to put down three horses that belonged to our family for 25 years, regrettably, a few weeks ago,” she said on X.
