Hunter Biden’s Future Is Looking Grimm, Here’s Why

In response to a revelation that federal officials thought they had enough evidence to bring charges against his son Hunter Biden for tax and gun-related offenses, Democratic President Joe Biden issued a statement.

On his show on Tuesday, CNN’s Jake Tapper questioned Biden about the report.

According to our investigation, “CNN’s news, and the Washington Post’s reporting, prosecutors believe they have enough evidence to bring charges against your son Hunter for tax offenses and making a false statement about buying a gun. What is your response, politically and personally, to that? Tapper questioned the leader.”

“Well, first of all, let me say that I’m proud of my son,” Biden said.

“This is a kid who got addicted to drugs, like many families have experienced, even if he’s an adult now. That hasn’t stopped him. He’s started a new life,” he continued.

“I’m sure he is; his actions and words are in line with what takes place. He wrote a book about his issues, for instance, and was open and honest about it. I’m happy for him,” said Biden.

He said, “By the way, I had no idea about this issue involving a gun,” and then he moved on. “But it turns out that when he submitted an application to buy a gun, what actually happened was that he was asked, are you on drugs, or do you take drugs?  He rejected it. He also discussed saying no in his book,” he continued.

“Therefore, I have a lot of faith in my son,” Biden said. “I adore him, and he has been morally upright for a few years at this point. And I simply love him so much.”

In his December 2020 public announcement that his taxes were the subject of a federal inquiry, Hunter Biden stated that he expected to be cleared of any wrongdoing. At that point, he made no mention of possible firearms charges.

According to a source with knowledge of the incident, TheBlaze became the first publication to report that Hallie Biden, who is the widow of Joe Biden’s son Beau, secretly took Hunter Biden’s weapon from his vehicle in Oct. 2018 and threw it in a trash can on the outside of a Delaware supermarket.

Attorney General David Weiss of Delaware will decide whether or not to charge Hunter Biden. He is anticipated to make that announcement following the November 2020 midterm elections.
