It seems that even some of the most liberal countries in the world have caught on faster than Biden when it comes to the COVID pandemic and realizing there’s nothing that can be done to stop its natural spread. The Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, just announces that the nation in Europe is about to suspend almost all of the restrictions they’ve had for the pandemic starting on the 1st of February, even though all other countries in the nation are continuing and extending their restrictions.
Frederiksen says that Denmark will be returning to the life they had before the beginning of the pandemic. Denmark will be completely open starting February 1st. Frederiksen said that a lot of this decision was made on the fact that even though infection rates are high, hospitalizations are low, and people seem to become less ill overall.
Denmark has been incredibly strict on mask-wearing in indoor venues and on public transportation, but now it will only be required in nursing homes, healthcare facilities, and hospitals.
Health Minister of Denmark, Magnus Heunicke, says that although there are more than 46k cases daily, there are only 40 people in the intensive care units right now.
Even though Denmark lead the pack when it came to shutting down back in 2020, it now sets itself apart as being one of the first nations in the EU to step back on restrictions. The UK also announced last week that it would be rolling back on restrictions, but they stand out among the nations in Europe.
In Austria, for example, they are now implementing a fine for people who refuse to vaccinate.
The lower house of Austria’s parliament approved the mandate for every adult beginning on the 1st of February, with people who violate the rule facing a fine that could be as much as $4k.
In Italy, proof of vaccine or recent COVID recovery is required to enter most public spaces.
Citizens of Greece that are over 60 years old are required to be vaccinated. If they do not comply, there is a fine of 100 euros per month.
People in Greece are also barred from all indoor spaces if they aren’t vaccinated.
That’s exactly the kind of tyranny Biden wants to implement in America, and he just might get it.
