Former Fox News personality Tucker Carlson issued a video message two days after leaving the network in which he urged Americans to leave the uniparty and listen to fresh ideas.
Tucker Carlson’s tweet began with a comment on the decency of Americans, which is sometimes obscured in the establishment media bubble, where people frequently confuse yelling battles with legitimate debate.
“One of the very first things you realize, when you step outside of the noise for a few days, is just how many genuinely nice individuals there are in this country,” Tucker said. “Gentle and decent people. Folks who care about the truth, and I also know a lot of funny people. There are a lot of them. It has to be the vast majority of the people. Even right now. That’s encouraging.”
Tucker noted how this made him understand the tremendous idiocy demonstrated during “the majority of the debates that you see on television.”
“They are utterly unimportant. They don’t mean anything,” he remarked. “We will have forgotten about having them in five years. Trust me as a person that has taken part. And, astonishingly, the clearly significant problems, the ones that will determine our future, receive almost little debate at all: war, civil freedoms, new science, demographic shift, corporate dominance, and natural resources.”
“When was the last time you heard an honest debate concerning any of those issues,” he went on. “A long time has passed. Such debates are not tolerated in American media.”
According to Carlson, both political parties and their donor classes have practically selected what Americans will speak about depending on what helps them. He compared this “consensus” to a one-party state, which some conservative activists call the “uniparty.”
“Our current standards will not last. They’ve lost their minds. Nobody believes them,” he claims. “They seldom ever make anyone’s life better. This moment is too ludicrous to continue, therefore it will not. The people in power are aware, which is why they are frantic and hostile. They are terrified. They’ve abandoned persuasion in favor of force. But it’s not going to work. When honest individuals speak the truth calmly and without shame, they gain power.”
Carlson ended his address with a hopeful message:
“At the same time, the many liars who tried to silence them shrink. And they deteriorate. That is the universe’s unbreakable law. True things win out. Where can you still find an American telling the truth? There are not many places left, but there are a few, and that’s all that matters. There is hope as long as you are able to hear the words. I’ll see you soon.”
