Acting Assistant Director for Civil Rights Craig Trainor called DEI policies a “shameful echo of a darker period in this country’s history” and vowed that the federal government will no longer tolerate discrimination masked as progress.
The Left Panics as DEI Comes Crashing Down
Unsurprisingly, leftist groups are scrambling to protect their radical agenda. The American Federation of Teachers and the American Sociological Association have filed a lawsuit, hoping to block the policy from taking effect. Their pathetic argument? That Trump’s anti-DEI order is “too vague” and violates free speech rights.
Here’s the reality: DEI has nothing to do with free speech and everything to do with left-wing activists using public schools to push racial division and ideological brainwashing. For years, DEI bureaucrats have used federal tax dollars to force race-based quotas, lower academic standards, and inject radical gender ideology into classrooms.
Now, with the five largest school districts in America—New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, and Las Vegas—on the hook for over $5 billion in federal funds, the panic has set in. Schools must decide: keep their failed DEI policies or keep their funding.

Roughly 70% of American K–12 students are NOT proficient in reading or math. That is the real crisis—not the loss of some cushy bureaucratic DEI positions.

The Biden administration pumped billions of dollars into woke education initiatives, funneling taxpayer money into DEI-centered grants, race-based hiring, and leftist curricula.
