As one source put it, they’re trying to escape “any immigration consequences” if their asylum claims don’t pan out. Translation? These folks know their days of freeloading on American generosity are numbered.
In one remote stretch of Washington state alone, border agents are now seeing an average of five illegal crossings into Canada every single day. In January, Canadian police clocked 40 illegal entries just from Washington into British Columbia. That same month, Border Patrol agents saw only 30 southbound crossings in that area. Let that sink in: more people are fleeing the U.S. than entering it—because Trump means business.
This isn’t just a fluke. Even the desolate, icy corners of the northern border are catching migrants trying to sneak out of the country. In Alberta, Canadian Mounties stumbled upon a group of nine migrants—including children—trying to cross into the Great White North in the dead of winter. Last year, they saw just seven such cases in the same region. This year? Already 20.
Under Biden, our northern border became just another soft entry point for illegal crossings. The numbers exploded from 2,200 in fiscal year 2022 to nearly 24,000 in 2023. That’s what happens when you have an open-border agenda pushed by globalist elites who care more about appeasing woke activists than protecting their own citizens.
