The Left is once again freaking out over the Trump administration doing exactly what the American people elected it to do: cut waste, eliminate fraud, and make the federal government work for taxpayers—not against them.
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)—which has become a symbol of Trump’s mission to drain the D.C. swamp—is being smeared by Democrats like Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock, who claimed DOGE was “intentionally” stopping Americans from claiming Social Security benefits. His proof? Some field offices in Georgia closed. Except—it turns out they didn’t.
DOGE quickly called out Warnock’s post as flat-out false, explaining that no Social Security field offices are being shut down. What actually closed were permanent remote hearing sites—single rooms within existing offices—because most hearings are now done virtually, just like everything else in this modern era.
But Democrats don’t care about facts—they care about fear-mongering. Warnock and New York’s Letitia James want to paint this as some cruel plot to keep seniors from collecting what they’re owed. In reality, it’s just common-sense modernization—something D.C. bureaucrats haven’t understood in decades until Trump brought DOGE in to shake things up.
Louder! @SenatorWarnock ! Call it out… and fight this atrocity. https://t.co/PETADJmiJz

Let’s be clear: DOGE’s job is to cut bloated spending and hold failing agencies accountable. And yes, that means reevaluating over 800 federal real estate leases, many of which have sat underused or completely empty for years. If the private sector operated like the government, it would have collapsed long ago.
The Social Security Administration isn’t disappearing, and seniors aren’t being “abandoned.” In fact, the Trump administration has actually expanded resources online and streamlined identity verification processes. It’s not DOGE’s fault that some people refuse to adapt—or that previous administrations kept throwing money at broken systems instead of fixing them.
This is what draining the swamp looks like. You cut through the bureaucratic fat, you make hard decisions, and yes, you ignore the noise from political grandstanders who want to weaponize senior citizens for campaign talking points.
America needs less government bloat and more efficiency. President Trump and DOGE are finally delivering both.
