Trump Jr. Gives Swamp D.C. Elites Final Notice

Donald Trump Jr. isn’t holding back when it comes to defending the bold cabinet picks his father, President-elect Donald Trump, has made for his return to the White House in 2025. In a recent appearance on Fox News’s Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo, Trump Jr. made it clear that these choices are meant to shake up Washington, not keep the same old swampy business as usual.

“Some of them are going to be controversial,” Trump Jr. acknowledged, “because they’ll actually get things done.” And that right there is the core of the problem for the Uniparty elites in D.C., who thrive on gridlock and backroom deals. Trump Jr. is right to say that his father now knows “who the good guys are” versus “the fake ones.” It’s a much-needed lesson learned from the 2016 administration, when many picks turned out to be more interested in self-promotion than draining the swamp.

Consider some of these choices: Matt Gaetz as attorney general and Robert Kennedy Jr. heading Health and Human Services. These aren’t picks designed to play nice with the media or keep the D.C. cocktail circuit happy. They’re designed to disrupt the status quo and deliver results. Gaetz has a reputation for being a firebrand who isn’t afraid to take on entrenched corruption, and Kennedy, despite his controversies, is laser-focused on challenging bureaucratic complacency in public health.

“The swamp doesn’t want that,” Trump Jr. said. “They don’t want to see change; they want it to be business as usual. That’s their meal plan, that’s their ticket.” Could he be more on the nose? Democrats—and a few so-called Republicans—are already losing their minds over these picks. Why? Because these are people who might actually accomplish something.

Trump Jr. also dismissed rumors about him joining his father’s administration, stating he’s more interested in helping assemble a cabinet that will seize what he called a “once in a generation” opportunity to make a real difference. Instead, he’s diving into venture capital with 1789 Capital, co-founded by Vice President-elect J.D. Vance. It’s a smart move that shows the Trump team is planning to expand their influence beyond politics and into the culture-shaping realms of media and technology.

Lara Trump, meanwhile, is emerging as a strong contender to replace Sen. Marco Rubio if Rubio is confirmed as Secretary of State. Trump Jr. called her a great choice, crediting her efforts in helping turn Florida into a “solid red state.” With endorsements from prominent Republicans like Sen. Rick Scott and Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, Lara Trump is positioned to bring even more firepower to the Senate. Of course, Democrats will foam at the mouth, but what else is new?

The bottom line is this: President-elect Trump is assembling a team that puts America First. These picks aren’t about playing defense—they’re about going on the offense to fix what’s broken. Naturally, the left is going to howl, and the swamp is going to resist. But that’s how you know Trump’s doing it right.
