Trump Hints At New Trick Up His Sleeve

In case he wins in November, Republican presidential candidate and former president Donald Trump said this week that he would be “open” to assigning Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (I) a position in his cabinet.

Nicole Shanahan, RFK Jr.’s vice presidential nominee, recently stated that the two contenders for president in 2024 are thinking about dropping out and supporting Trump or staying in the race to “establish ourselves” as a third-party alternative. This development was previously reported by Blaze News.

“I would be willing to let him leave if he is considering it.”

In an interview for the “Impact Theory” podcast, Shanahan said, “We’re looking at two possibilities. One option is to remain in the current position, while the other is to consider the possibility of Kamala Harris and Walz becoming president due to their reliance on Trump’s support or their ability to garner more votes from him.

Shanahan went on, “Or we walk away right now and team up with Donald Trump.” “We leave that behind and provide our base with an explanation for our decision.”

Although Shanahan acknowledged that it is “not an easy decision,” she said she had lately heard “really great” things from the Trump campaign.

Following the release of the podcast interview on Tuesday, Kennedy made a public statement claiming he has “always” been “ready to meet with leaders of any political party to achieve the ideals I have served for 40 years in my career and in this campaign.”

He stated that “stopping the war machine, cleansing corporate influence out of government and toxic pollution out of the environment, defending freedom of expression, and removing the politicization of enforcement agencies” are among his top concerns.

CNN’s Kristen Holmes questioned Trump during his Tuesday campaign rally in Michigan over RFK Jr.’s possible appointment to the Cabinet.

“Have you considered him for a position in the administration? If so, what would that position be?” Holmes questioned Trump.

Trump said, “Well, we haven’t, but because I’ve always admired him, I would enjoy the endorsement.” “I really like him. He has my utmost respect.”

In addition, Trump stated that he “probably would” give RFK Jr. a position in his cabinet.

He’s an intelligent man. What a bright man he is. Trump then said, “I’ve known him for a very long time.” “I wouldn’t mind at all if he were considering leaving, but I wasn’t aware that he was considering it.”

He mentioned that having RFK Jr.’s support would “honor” him.

“I like smart people, and Republicans like me,” Trump said in response to a question about whether Republicans would back his choice to appoint RFK Jr. to his Cabinet.

I’m “open and receptive to the concept” of RFK Jr. holding a job in his father’s presidential administration, Donald Trump Jr. said to Glenn Beck on Wednesday. RFK Jr. “might be a really fantastic asset,” he said.

“I think it’s great to give him a part in a big three-letter organization or whatever and let him take it to the next level,” he said. “I believe that is what we require.”
