A debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris took place at The National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on September 10, 2024.
Harris did better than expected; she seemed more composed than usual.
After the debate, Harris went on X to ask for a second one with Trump. But on Thursday, the former president told his followers on Truth Social that there would be no third debate, saying, “THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!”
Trump also spoke about how frustrated he was with how the last two debates went and said that Kamala’s campaign would not accept other networks.
“She didn’t show up for the Fox Debate and turned down NBC and CBS.”
By going on stage at CNN’s offices to debate Biden in the first debate, Trump pretty much walked into the lion’s den.
However, the president’s performance was so bad that the Democrats gave up on his reelection bid completely.
Not only was ABC’s treatment of Trump also ridiculous, it was rude. Moderator David Muir forgot that he isn’t running for office and started yelling at Trump on Harris’s behalf, which was not professional at all.
Trump should definitely try to get one with any of the three networks listed above. Harris’s campaign would have to work extra hard between now and November to recover from her time on Fox News, which would put her in danger.
If Trump thinks Harris doesn’t really want another debate, he needs to start asking for it.
As of Friday, FiveThirtyEight says Harris will win the race 59 times out of 100.
A poll by Reuters shows that 53% of people who were “familiar with the conversation” think Harris should win.
Trump may have his own studies that show the opposite, no doubt.
Harris wrote on X that she wants another fight, so Trump needs to do everything he can to make it happen.
It won’t be fair, and the judges won’t be unbiased.
What else is new?
After almost ten years of this, Trump shouldn’t be surprised.
If he wants to show people that he is the best choice, he has to be ready to step up and take on the task.
