A CBS News/YouGov poll released this week found that 62 percent of potential Republican primary voters chose Trump over his competitors. This is the biggest lead Trump has had over his competitors so far.
The study showed that his main foe, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, has lost more ground since the beginning of the summer and is now at 16 percent. Vivek Ramaswamy is in third place with 7% of the vote. None of the other candidates have more than 10%.
91% of probable GOP voters additionally stated that they wanted to listen to the other presidential candidates argue for themselves, not against Trump, throughout the upcoming Republican primary discussion.

The study found that Trump supporters think he is more honest than relatives, close companions, right media figures, and even their religious leaders.
In a CBS News story that summed up the study, it was said that for those who are thinking about voting for Trump, he ‘”checks all the boxes” for how voters usually make decisions.” It said:
“His record shows that almost everyone who is thinking about voting for him thinks things were better when he was president. And most of them say that they have ‘always been a supporter.’ All of these things seem to give Trump a strong ‘incumbency advantage’”
The study showed that people who are likely to vote in the Republican primary believe Trump possesses the best chance of beating President Biden.
