America has had enough. The latest round of violent riots in Portland underscores precisely why law and order remain non-negotiable in President Trump’s America First agenda. Make no mistake: these aren’t peaceful protestors advocating for legitimate policy reform. These are radical extremists who openly assault our brave federal officers with explosives and fireworks, endangering lives under the pretense of activism.
The Department of Homeland Security laid bare the harrowing scene from Wednesday night: “250 rioters launched fireworks, shined lasers in officers’ eyes to temporarily blind them, and stormed an ICE field office.” This is outright warfare against law enforcement, plain and simple. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem minced no words, stating, “We won’t sit idly by and watch these cowards…you will not stop us or slow us down.” Americans expect nothing less from their leadership. Our men and women in uniform deserve unwavering support, not silence or apologies.
This isn’t happening in isolation. The assault on law enforcement has become increasingly widespread and vicious. DHS reports a shocking 413 percent spike in attacks against officers, who risk their lives daily to apprehend violent criminals, gang members, and drug traffickers. These officers uphold our immigration laws, laws designed to protect the safety and security of American citizens. President Trump continues to stand firmly behind our brave law enforcement, recognizing their sacrifices and pledging to prosecute these criminals to the fullest extent.
And let’s be clear: the Biden-era rhetoric demonizing ICE agents and federal officers created this dangerous atmosphere. When politicians label law enforcement as villains, radicals feel empowered to act violently. They feel justified in throwing explosives at officers, convinced they are resisting legitimate authority. But President Trump has made it abundantly clear—this administration stands firmly on the side of safety, security, and the rule of law.
The U.S. Department of Justice charged 48-year-old Grzegorz Vandenberg with “transporting explosives in interstate commerce with the knowledge and intent that they would be used to kill, injure, or intimidate individuals,” according to CBS News. Vandenberg reportedly visited a travel center in Lordsburg, New Mexico, on June 12, where he eagerly sought out fireworks capable of being “thrown directly at people to cause harm.” Even more chillingly, he boasted to store employees of his supposed “prior special forces military” experience and his capability to construct pipe bombs. As if that weren’t disturbing enough, Vandenberg openly declared his intent to travel to Los Angeles specifically to kill law enforcement officers or government officials. He even went so far as to invite store employees to join him and his so-called platoon in California.
When did America become a nation where it’s acceptable—even encouraged—to openly plot violence against law enforcement? This sickening mentality must end. It’s long past time for city leaders in Portland, Los Angeles, and other liberal strongholds to unequivocally condemn violent radicals. Silence and excuses only fan these flames of anarchy.
Our nation faces real challenges—reviving manufacturing, securing our southern border, reforming our broken education system, and disentangling ourselves from endless foreign wars. Yet what do radicals prioritize? Attacking those sworn to uphold our laws and protect our communities. This madness diverts resources and attention from genuine American priorities, keeping our nation divided and distracted.
President Trump has repeatedly emphasized the importance of law and order to our national well-being. As he famously declared, “Without law and order, there is no justice.” The MAGA movement proudly embraces this principle. We stand united against violent extremism, against radical assaults on law enforcement, and against the dangerous ideology that excuses or encourages such violence.
If we want a strong America—one that secures our borders, rebuilds our economy, reforms our schools, and ends foreign entanglements—then we must first restore law and order. Supporting our brave law enforcement officers isn’t just patriotic; it’s essential. Thankfully, under President Trump, the message to violent radicals is unmistakably clear: your days of lawlessness are numbered.
