This A-List celebrity is going against the grain of his typical leftist fearmongers, and coming out with a film that is set to rock America and enrage every liberal in the country.
Mark Wahlberg just opened up about his brand-new faith-based film, which will be a first for him. The film is called “Father Stu,” and Wahlberg says there’s nothing more important to him than his faith.
The film will be released on Good Friday, which is on April 15th. Wahlberg teamed up with Mel Gibson to produce and star in the film and bring it to life.
Wahlberg, who’s an academy award-nominated actor, told Pure Flix Insider that this latest project is based on a true story of a man that was a boxer, who then became a priest. It’s a story about the man’s journey from destruction to redemption. Wahlberg says this is his first go at faith-based entertainment, and is all party of his goal to deepen his faith.
“People need to have faith and hope. Young men need to know what it’s like to be a real man. And you could list a million reasons — just turn on the news, anywhere you look there are reasons for encouraging people to have faith and to have hope,” he said during an interview.
Wahlberg also says he really identifies with the character, Father Stu, as he is trying to turn his life around daily.
“I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life. I have been focused since I was 16, 17 years old on turning my life around and that is a daily task,” he said. “God has continued to bless me and put me in this situation not to continue to grow and work on Mark Wahlberg the person, but to do His work and finally, giving me the skills and tools to go out and articulate the message He wants me to articulate.”
He continued, “It’s never too late. As long as you’re breathing you have an opportunity to redeem yourself.”
One thing is for sure, it’s nice to see a celebrity coming out with something wholesome, while the rest of the Elites want to try and tell everyone how they should be living their life and what political views to subscribe to. Wahlberg reminds us of what’s really important, growing your faith in the one person whose opinion really matters.
