Radical Leftists Resort to Terror Tactics Against GOP

When left-wing activists start dropping coffins on the front porches of elected officials, it’s not “democracy in action”—it’s terror in disguise.

Last week, a mob of radical protesters descended on Congressman Bryan Steil’s private residence in Wisconsin. They marched up his driveway dressed in black, lugging a cardboard casket, and left it at his doorstep like some twisted Halloween prank. The so-called “funeral procession” included flowers, cowbells, and a makeshift epitaph declaring the “death of democracy.” This wasn’t a protest. It was intimidation, plain and simple.

And let’s be crystal clear: this wasn’t some spontaneous act of frustration. It was organized by the Southern Wisconsin Grassroots Network and the far-left Working Families Party—groups that are increasingly comfortable using intimidation as a political tool. One protester, caught on a Facebook Live video, even admitted they didn’t want to “invite the police” and planned to leave quickly. Translation: they knew what they were doing was wrong and possibly illegal.

This is what the modern Left has become—bullies hiding behind slogans, willing to bring chaos right to your front door if you dare to vote the “wrong” way. And they’re not targeting just anyone. Bryan Steil isn’t some fringe firebrand. He’s the Chairman of the House Administration Committee, working to restore order, election integrity, and transparency in government. Apparently, doing your job in Washington is now grounds for having a fake coffin dumped on your lawn.

Let’s talk about what that really means. A coffin isn’t a clever metaphor. It’s not harmless political theater. It’s a symbol of death. It’s a threat. And when you leave it on a person’s doorstep, you’re crossing from protest into something far more sinister.

But instead of condemning this madness, the Left is doubling down. Ravi Mangla, a spokesman for the Working Families Party, brushed it off, saying, “Frankly, that’s a far scarier thing than a group of seniors holding some taped-together cardboard.” Think about that. These people believe that their policy disagreements justify showing up at someone’s house with a coffin—and they’re offended we’re even talking about it.

Let’s flip the script. Imagine if a group of conservative activists had marched up to the home of a Democrat lawmaker carrying a coffin and chanting slogans. Every major network would be breathlessly reporting on the “rise of right-wing extremism.” The FBI would be launching investigations. There’d be congressional hearings before the week was out. But when it’s the Left doing it? Crickets.

Congressman Steil, to his credit, isn’t backing down. “I remain committed to my work to get this country back on track and will not be deterred by their threats,” he told Fox News Digital. That’s leadership. That’s the kind of backbone we need more of in Washington.

Meanwhile, Capitol Police report a stunning 93.8% increase in threats against members of Congress over the past year. That’s not a coincidence. It’s the byproduct of a political culture where the Left increasingly views violence and harassment as acceptable tactics—as long as they’re aimed at conservatives.

In response, Congress has been forced to double security funding for members—from $10,000 to $20,000 annually for personal safety, and from $150 to $5,000 per month for monitoring threats. Think about that. We’re now spending taxpayer dollars so lawmakers can protect their families from the lunatics the Left refuses to rein in.

This isn’t just about Bryan Steil. It’s about the future of civil society. If we allow political intimidation to become normalized—if we shrug our shoulders when radicals use threats to silence elected officials—then we’re no longer operating in a free republic. We’re living under mob rule.

The Left loves to talk about “saving democracy,” but their actions tell a different story. Democracy isn’t about coffins on doorsteps. It’s about ballots, debate, and respect for the rule of law. And if the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and its dark-money allies can’t grasp that, it’s time for the rest of us to draw the line.

We don’t win by sinking to their level. We win by standing firm, speaking truth, and refusing to be intimidated. Bryan Steil is doing his job. It’s time the rest of us had his back.
