When was the last time you saw a blockbuster film portray a devout Christian as a nuanced, relatable hero? The answer is likely never.

California, for example, has repeatedly attempted to pass legislation that would infringe on the rights of Christian institutions to operate according to their beliefs. The left calls it “equality”; Christians call it an attack on religious freedom. Meanwhile, Christian business owners are dragged into court for refusing to violate their deeply held convictions—because apparently, “live and let live” only applies if you agree with the left’s agenda.
And let’s not forget the outright mockery of Christian holidays. Christmas, once a joyful celebration of faith and family, is now reduced to “winter break” or “holiday season.” Heaven forbid someone says “Merry Christmas” instead of “Happy Holidays.” Apparently, acknowledging Christ in Christmas is just too much for the fragile sensibilities of the progressive elite.
