Mike Pence Finds Himself On The Wrong Side Of Trump’s Wrath

There’s no one that should want to be on the other side of Trump’s wrath, especially Mike Pence, but somehow, he found himself there, and Trump didn’t hold back. Trump faulted his previous Vice President for not doing anything to overturn the fraudulent results of the election in 2020 to their favor.

The admission happened on Sunday when Trump released a statement on his Save America PAC, where he responded to a bipartisan Senate movement to update the law from 1887 which outlines the VP’s role in overseeing what Congress does to certify election results. Trump also singled out Susan Collins, who is a centrist Republican that’s spearheading this group. She said on Sunday that she wasn’t ruling out Trump’s run in 2024, but said that she felt it wasn’t likely due to the fact that there will likely be other candidates that are qualified for the job.

Trump said the following about the movement and Collings: “If the Vice President had ‘absolutely no right’ to change the Presidential Election results in the Senate, despite fraud and many other irregularities, how come the Democrats and RINO Republicans, like Wacky Susan Collins, are desperately trying to pass legislation that will not allow the Vice President to change the results of the election? Actually, what they are saying, is that Mike Pence did have the right to change the outcome, and they now want to take that right away.”

Trump also lamented that Pence didn’t try to use his power in their favor at all. Pence resisted Trump’s pressure and the pressure of his allies to stall the Electoral College count of votes on Jan 6, 2021. Pence sent a letter saying he didn’t have the power to reject votes, and Trump hasn’t let him forget it. Back in December, Trump said that Pence is a good man, but that he made a big mistake.

Pence has defended his actions repeatedly since the event, saying just last week during a Fox News Stint that the protest on Jan 6 was tragic for the nation. He also said, “I know I did my duty under the constitution of the United States. “The president and I sat down in the days that followed that. We spoke about it, talked through it. We parted amicably.”
