Mexican President Mocks Americans In A Message To Biden

Mexico’s president congratulated President Biden for not securing the southern border of the United States and insisted that he provide amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants who had snuck into the country.

During the North American Leaders’ Summit on Tuesday in Mexico City, Biden had meetings with the left-leaning Andres Manuel López Obrador and Justin Trudeau Prime Minister of Canada. The main subject was what Biden said was the “greatest migration in the history of mankind.”

Obrador said, “President Biden, you have been the first president of the U.S. in an extremely long time that hasn’t built not even one meter of wall and… we thank you for that, sir,” as he stood next to Biden and Trudeau.

The Mexican president stated that Biden’s rejection to fortify the border may not be popular with “some,” notably “the conservatives.”

During the first two months of this fiscal year, 465,034 illegal aliens were found at the border; 2.37 million criminal noncitizens crossed the southern border in the last year, and millions more did so in 2021.

Only 458,088 illegal aliens were found at the southern border when previous President Donald Trump was in office, and his administration built about 737,079 meters of wall.

Biden remarked, “In today’s linked world, there can be no question, not one. We cannot isolate ourselves from common issues,” he continued, “and we’re working to make it simpler for people to come here.”

The Mexican president thought that was insufficient.

In a “very courteous approach,” Obrador requested that Biden put pressure on “the United States Congress to regularize the migration problems of millions of Mexicans who are currently in the United States living and working, and contributing to the growth of that wonderful nation.”

Biden met Texas Governor Greg Abbott in the troubled border city of El Paso on his route to the conference. Message from Abbott to Biden: “America is undergoing the worst illegal immigration in our nation’s history while you are in office. Your open border policies have given gangs more power to prosper from human and lethal fentanyl trafficking.”

Abbott suggested that failing to “defend the States against invasion” amounted to what Biden later described as making it “easier for people to get here.”

According to the New York Times, during the meeting, the president of Mexico, whose war-torn nation is currently plagued by crime, took a not-so-subtle shot at Abbott for removing criminal noncitizens from Texas and transporting them to ostensibly safe havens, calling his actions “absolutely inhuman.”

The North American leaders finally “reaffirmed their commitment to collaborate in order to ensure safe, orderly, and humanitarian migration in the area,” according to the White House.

According to Biden’s announcement from last week, these commitments included allowing 30,000 migrants from Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela, or Haiti to enter the U.S. each month and “countering xenophobia as well as discrimination against refugees and migrants by promoting balanced public narratives on refugees and migrants to encourage their meaningful inclusion in the region.”
