This week, officials determined that the suspicious death that claimed the life of a 41-year-old Republican leader at his place of residence in Durham, New Hampshire, was actually a murder.
Alexander Talcott’s death was ruled a murder after a medical examiner found he had been stabbed in the neck. The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office told NBC Boston that Talcott’s death was ruled a murder.
“Talcott was a Republican activist and lawyer, according to a representative for the attorney general’s office.”
His body was discovered early this week, and WMUR-TV said that no one had been arrested in the case yet.
Since then, the police have found out who was involved in the case, and they are now trying to figure out if the person who cut Talcott did so in self-defense.
Officials haven’t said who that person is yet, and they are still looking into what happened.
Talcott was described as “a steadfast advocate for the core values held by the Republican Party” by the state director for the RNLA’s New Hampshire branch.
Next, William O’Brien said:
“Alex was a very skilled supporter of the rule of law and the need for honest and fair elections. Alex’s selfless commitment and huge contributions that supported our shared vision of freedom through the justice system will always be remembered. His impact will definitely be an inspiration to future members of the RNLA and the law community as a whole.”
On his LinkedIn page, Talcott says that he is a company legal advisor.
The page says, “As corporate counsel, I add my positive, extremely high energy to the contracts and regulations that help businesses grow.”
Chris Ager, who used to work with him, told WMUR that he would greatly miss his long-time close friend.
“He was really helpful and constantly wanted to do more. He was willing to help. He asked me many times, ‘Hey, Chris, what can I do to help?’ Never asked for something back. He was just like that. We are going to miss him very much,” he said.
