With reports that former President Donald Trump may be arrested, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) asserted on Saturday that Americans are aware of what is really happening.
“President Trump, may God bless you. This is all a hoax, real America knows,” Jordan stated in a social media post.
According to “illegal leaks” from the office of the Manhattan district attorney, Trump claimed early on Saturday that he anticipates being detained this week, according to Breitbart News.
His alleged involvement in the hush money given to porn star Stormy Daniels is under investigation by the office. Trump, who will compete for president once more in 2024, is already encouraging his supporters to demonstrate.
Trump posted the following on his Truth Social social media platform:
“ILLEGAL LEAKS FROM A HIGHLY POLITICAL AND CORRUPT MANHATTAN DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE, WHICH NOW HAS PERMITTED NEW RECORDS TO BE SET IN VIOLENT CRIME & WHOSE LEADER IS SPONSORED BY GEORGE SOROS, IMPLY THAT, WITHOUT ANY CRIME THAT IS ABLE TO BE PROVEN, & BASED ON AN OLD & FULLY DEBUNKED (BY MANY OTHER PROSECUTORS!) FAIRYTALE, THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE & THE FORMER UNITED STATES PRESIDENT, IS BEING ARRESTED NEXT WEEK ON TUESDAY. PROTEST AND RESTORE OUR COUNTRY!”
According to the Breitbart post, the specific criminal charges that would be brought against him were not immediately known.
Nonetheless, “news about Democrat Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case involving porn star Daniels and the former president suggested in recent weeks that an indictment decision could be close,” the source added.
As for the intentions to arrest Trump, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) criticized them and said they were made to harm his campaign.
She said that the situation was a ludicrous illustration of how leftists wanted to demolish the former president and said, “This is what they do in communist nations.”
She added, “If they arrest him, Trump will win in the biggest landslide victory. People are outraged!”
The response to Jordan’s post was swift, with one follower responding, “Maybe Alvin Bragg can be hauled before this House after what he’s done to our President.”
Another person described the attempts against Trump as “a desperate attempt to divert attention from the criminality of the Biden family.”
