In a short amount of time, Kamala Harris’s image rehabilitation project has gone from utterly ridiculous to absolutely Orwellian. Under the heading “Kamala Harris Was Never Biden’s ‘Border Czar,’” a recent TIME Magazine piece aims to rewrite history. This is what she actually did.”
The article boldly states, “In reality, Harris never held authority over the border or immigration policy.”
Indeed, there has always been a conflict between Oceania and East Asia.
The piece goes on:
“She did not supervise law enforcement operations or direct the federal response to the situation. Her mission was far more focused on analyzing and resolving the structural issues in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras—the Northern Triangle of Central America, plagued by decades of political instability, protracted bloodshed, and poverty. The plan was to encourage private sector investment in the area and allocate billions for economic initiatives, hoping that these actions would eventually discourage migrants from making the perilous trek north.”
The text makes an effort to clarify that Harris had no authority over border-related matters. There is one very significant issue.
According to an Associated Press story from March 21, 2021, “President Joe Biden has picked Vice President Kamala Harris to oversee the White House effort to combat the migration dilemma at the U.S. southern border and engage with Central American governments to address the fundamental causes of the problem.”
That seems strange, doesn’t it? TIME Magazine seems to be stating the exact opposite of what is true.
The report goes on:
“Biden made the announcement during a meeting with Harris and Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandra Mayorkas, and other immigration advisers at the White House on Wednesday to discuss the surge in migrants, including many unaccompanied children, arriving at the border in recent weeks,” the statement reads.
“By giving Harris the task, Biden is attempting to replicate an exchange that occurred during his tenure as Vice President of President Barack Obama. During his first term, Obama looked to Biden to spearhead the White House initiative to reduce American forces in Iraq and supervise the execution of stimulus plans in response to the Great Recession.”
“She speaks for me when she speaks,” Biden remarked, pointing out that she is uniquely qualified to spearhead the administration’s reaction due to her prior experience as California’s attorney general.
“Biden is attempting to convey to Americans that he is paying attention to the situation at the border, despite harsh criticism from Republicans about the surge in immigration. Additionally, he aims to prevent the mounting humanitarian and political challenges from overshadowing his administration’s ambitious legislative program.”
The admission that Harris’s track record on the border is one of her greatest vulnerabilities, if not her actual Achilles heel, is the most telling aspect of TIME Magazine’s attempt to alter history. For several months now, polls have indicated that Americans’ main issue is immigration, and they hold Joe Biden responsible for the current border problem.
That being said, Kamala’s border crisis is Biden’s. The media is aware of this. The Democrats are aware of this. We are aware of this. Furthermore, they are unable to change it.
