A feud has been brewing between progressive Governor of California Gavin Newsom and America First Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis.
The two governors are leading their respective parties and have begun trading barbs in the form of campaign ads, media digs, and six-figure donations. They couldn’t be further divided ideologically as well, highlighted by the fact Americans are moving to Florida after fleeing California.
The feud culminated in early July when Newsom’s reelection campaign purchased a whopping $105,000 in television attack ads that aired on Fox News in Florida. In the ads, the leftist governor claimed the freedom of Floridians was under attack because “Republican leaders are banning books.”

DeSantis is decidedly taking a much cooler approach, choosing instead to use national media to get his barbs in against Newsom.

Very Trumpian!
Newsom also escalated the feud when he pledged $100,000 to DeSantis’ Democrat challenger, former Governor and current Rep. Charlie Crist.

Meanwhile, a recent report shines new light on Newsom’s true feelings about DeSantis.
A trust linked to the family of Gov. Newsom has donated thousands of dollars to Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis amid the political feud between the two governors.
Fox News reported that records show that the Siebel Family Revocable Trust, which is run by Kenneth Siebel Jr. and Judith Siebel, the parents of Newsom’s wife, Jennifer Siebel, gave $5,000 to the Friends of Ron DeSantis PAC in early April.
The Siebel family has a history of making donations to Republican candidates, including Senators Ron Johnson, Tom Cotton, and Josh Hawley.
Could it be that underneath Newsom’s hyper-progressive, far-left façade is a closeted America First conservative? Is Newsom playing the part of a Democrat as a pathway into the White House?
Recent reports do suggest that the California Democrat is on the shortlist of candidates to possibly replace Biden should his hip give out or his brain finally melt. In fact, while Biden was overseas, Newsom was seen taking meetings at the White House.
Whatever Newsome’s aims, one thing remains certain: His policies are destroying California as well as the entire nation. Just look around; homeless people invade the streets while thugs loot businesses big and small. It’s a nightmare of epic proportions, one that will be up for vote come November.
