As Minnesota’s Democratic Governor Tim Walz takes yet another swipe at President Trump’s rumored plan to pardon former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin, it’s time we confront the inconvenient truths behind the George Floyd case. Walz, ever eager to virtue signal and appease the left-wing mob, declared recently, “If Donald Trump exercises his constitutional right to do so, whether I agree—and I strongly disagree with him—if he issues that pardon, we will simply transfer Derek Chauvin to serve out his 22 and a half years in prison in Minnesota.”
Strong words, Governor. But let’s pause for a moment and revisit the actual evidence—something Walz and his media cheerleaders conveniently forget. The autopsy report on George Floyd provides six lines that shatter the narrative that has driven nationwide unrest and billions in damage over the past five years.
Page two of the official autopsy report clearly states: “No life-threatening injuries identified.” Let that sink in. The entire “murder” conviction hinges on the claim that Floyd died from Chauvin’s knee on his neck. Yet the medical evidence explicitly states otherwise. How many Americans have been misled by a media establishment eager to fan the flames of racial division?
Further, Floyd’s blood contained significant amounts of fentanyl, fentanyl metabolites, methamphetamine, and THC. As even the casual observer knows, fentanyl is a devastatingly powerful narcotic, capable of quickly shutting down respiration and stopping a human heart. Yet the mainstream press brushed aside these facts, intent on pushing the destructive narrative of systemic racism and police brutality.
This is not about Chauvin’s guilt or innocence in a political vacuum; this is about truth and transparency. The radical left and their media allies have weaponized Floyd’s tragic death for political gain, sowing discord and division. The riots of 2020 were not organic uprisings; they were fueled by misinformation, false narratives, and outright lies. Lives were lost, businesses destroyed, communities shattered—all in the name of a distorted version of justice.
By June 2020, as Fox News reported, 17 Americans had died in riots sparked by this false narrative. Did those lives not matter? Where was Tim Walz’s righteous indignation then? The left’s selective outrage and hypocrisy are on full display when they cling desperately to their anti-police narrative despite clear evidence to the contrary.
Five years later, Walz continues to cling to these falsehoods, showing once again that truth doesn’t matter when political points are on the line. This shouldn’t surprise anyone familiar with Walz’s checkered record of stretching the truth, including past controversies regarding his military service.
It’s time we stop allowing politicians like Walz to hide behind convenient fictions at the expense of American unity and justice. President Trump, who has yet to confirm any pardon for Chauvin, should not be intimidated by Walz or his fellow Democrats into withholding mercy and justice where appropriate. Pardoning Chauvin would be a courageous stand for truth, fairness, and genuine justice, regardless of political backlash.
As conservatives, we should not fear the truth. We should embrace it, champion it, and demand it from our leaders. If we fail to do so, we allow the dishonest left to control the narrative and continue tearing apart the fabric of our nation.
The facts of Floyd’s autopsy cannot be wished away or ignored forever. They stand as a stark reminder of how dangerously far from reality the leftist narrative has strayed. Americans deserve honesty from their politicians and their media. It’s time to correct the record, expose the lies, and stand unapologetically for truth, law, and order.
