Well, wouldn’t ya know!
It’s safe to say at this point that anyone or anything the liberal media supports can be wholly disregarded and the opposite of what they say should be considered true.
Mainstream media outlets spent years waxing hysterical about “murderers” like Ron DeSantis and Kristi Noem, two governors who defied liberal pandemic lockdowns. Meanwhile, these governors (and most other GOP-led states) trounced their Democrat counterparts in leading their respective states out of the pandemic, according to a recent study.
The Committee To Unleash Prosperity (CUP) has released the most comprehensive analysis to date on how states handled the COVID-19 crisis.
“The Report Card on the States measures and compares state performance on three metrics: the economy, education, and mortality from the virus. It answers the question: how did states do in balancing the health of their citizens, allowing their economies to remain operational and keeping job losses low, and keeping their schools open so that school-aged children did not suffer long term educational setbacks,” the committee said in a statement.
The states that fared poorly in the CUP study were the same states whose governors were heralded as heroes of the pandemic, like Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who received a multimillion-dollar book deal due to his pandemic response.
Other states who received an F grade were New Jersey, Illinois, Washington D.C. New York, and of course, California. The top performers according to the CUP study were Utah, Nebraska, Vermont, Montana, and, much to the surprise of liberal journos, FLORIDA.
A total of 18 states received a grade of A or B. Of the top-ranking 18 states, 16 are led by Republican governors. No Democrat-led states appeared in the top five.

The study observed a series of “long-term” mistakes made by F and D graded states that pertained to the prolonged closing of businesses and schools.
“Shutting down their economies and schools was by far the biggest mistake governors and state officials made during Covid, particularly in blue states,” said CUP Co-Founder Stephen Moore.
States with locked down economies averaged about two points higher in unemployment than states that did not engage in more severe lockdowns, according to the study.
Despite the media’s performative dramatics about the openness of Florida, claiming DeSantis is responsible for all of Florida’s COVID deaths, the study showed something vastly different.
Adjusted for population, the study showed that death rates in Florida and California were around the same, proving that America’s most strident lockdown measures were wholly unnecessary and damaging.
The study also found an interesting correlation between economic hardship, unemployment, and mental health issues. For instance, as the unemployment rate increased one percentage point, there were 920 more suicides and 650 more homicides. This explains the massive pandemic crime spike in America’s most liberal and lockdown cities.
What remains perfectly clear after reading this study, something mainstream media refuses to report is that liberalism will literally kill you and your family in one way or another.
