Like most of the country, members of the Republican Party were in disbelief as FBI agents raided the private residence of Former President Donald Trump.
Never before in history has a current or former President faced such pervasive attack by multiple arms of federal and state governments, including the DOJ, Congress, state prosecutors, and the IRS.
The raid was shocking and horrifying to witness but could serve as a massive gift for the Republican Party as voters gear up for the midterm elections.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has a plan.
Rep. McCarthy vows to investigate Attorney General Merrick Garland for approving an FBI raid of Former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate on Monday, alleging the Department of Justice’s decision to search the property was politically motivated.
The FBI’s search reportedly pertains to boxes of materials the former president brought back with him to his Florida resort.
The California congressman asserted that if Republicans take back the majority in the House, they will swiftly launch an investigation.

Trump-allied conservatives were quick to slam the Mar-a-Lago raid, which started around 10 a.m. on Monday, with top Republicans voicing support for the former president and calling for hearings.
“Hunter Biden skates free while DOJ executes a political plot to destroy lives of political opponents. This is un-American.” Rep. Jim Banks tweeted.
“This is what happens in third world countries. Not the United States. Doesn’t the FBI have better things to do than harass the former PRESIDENT?” The GOP’s House Judiciary Committee account, which is run by ranking member Jim Jordan’s team, tweeted.
Trump confirmed federal investigators entered the premises in a statement on Monday evening, alleging the search was unwarranted
“These are dark times for our Nation…” Trump wrote.

The raid comes in the wake of the National Archives confirming that improperly stored presidential records that were in 15 boxes were obtained from Mar-a-Lago earlier this year, reportedly containing classified national security information.
If Joe Biden, the Democrats, and the Deep State believe they can get away with executing such brazen attacks on their political enemies, then they truly have another thing coming.
