Gabbard Wins Confirmation, Confirms First Explosive Move Against the Swamp

President Donald Trump’s newly confirmed Director of National Intelligence (DNI), Tulsi Gabbard, is on a mission to end the intelligence community’s political weaponization and restore transparency.

Gabbard’s day-one priorities, obtained by the Daily Caller, reveal a sharp course correction for an intelligence community that spent years undermining democracy with blatant political interference.

Draining the Intel Swamp—Gabbard Targets Deep State Corruption

Gabbard’s top priority is ending the politicization of the intelligence community (IC), refocusing it on neutral, apolitical intelligence gathering to actually secure America, rather than being a tool for the deep state’s political games.

“End politicization of the IC and ensure clear mission focus… on unbiased, apolitical collection and analysis of intelligence to secure our nation,” her directive states.

During her confirmation hearing, Gabbard called out the weaponization of intelligence agencies, citing Trump’s re-election as a clear mandate to purge the deep state.

She hammered the 51 former intelligence officials who falsely labeled the Hunter Biden laptop story a “Russian disinformation” operation—a lie that interfered in the 2020 election. Trump has since revoked their security clearances, making it clear that bad actors in the intelligence community will face consequences.

Restoring Trust and Slashing Bureaucratic Bloat

Gabbard also plans to increase transparency and accountability within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), which has become an out-of-control bureaucracy.

Two previously hesitant Republican senators, Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins, ultimately backed Gabbard, citing her commitment to shrinking ODNI’s bloated size.

Her immediate goal is to eliminate redundancy, cut waste, and redirect intelligence resources toward actual national security priorities instead of the bureaucratic excesses that plagued past administrations.

Fixing Intelligence Failures—COVID-19, Afghanistan, and Syria

The intelligence community’s long list of failures under previous DNIs will not be ignored.

Gabbard’s office will review major blunders, including:

  • The disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal
  • The rise of terrorists in Syria after Bashar al-Assad’s collapse
  • The intelligence community’s cover-up of COVID-19’s true origins

Just last month, the CIA quietly admitted it now believes COVID-19 came from a Chinese lab—but only with “low confidence.” Gabbard has made it clear she will not tolerate intel agencies covering for China or providing politically motivated reports.

What’s Next?

With Gabbard at the helm, expect a major intelligence shake-up. She has already promised to work with Congress to clean house and hold accountable those who used their positions to serve political agendas rather than protect America.

The deep state is officially on notice.
