Stevens was a guest on “Chris Jansing Reports” this week. He told the panel that on Election Day, Trump fans might try to “violently interrupt” vote counts in cities where most of the people are black.
There were disagreements about the election results in cities with a “high percentage of African-American voters,” he says. He then makes up a situation where the Trump campaign thinks they are losing because of those places.
Imagine that the Trump team doesn’t think it can win, either in the popular vote or the Electoral College. That’s what I think is really scary about this. You look at this fight. It doesn’t make sense. “He’s not trying to get more people to vote,” Stevens said.
What they want to do is win from Election Night to the start of the new government. If they can get into these polling places and cause trouble, how will states be able to certify the results of the election? “You destroy an Arizona county center,” he yelled. “How does the governor certify those elections?”
“Then what world do we end up in? And I believe we should really be ready for that.”
Everyone on the panel, except for Stevens, didn’t look confused when they heard this. That tells you everything you need to know about that group.
It’s so cool that MSNBC called their guest a former top strategist for Mitt Romney’s 2012 campaign. It lets them talk up his supposed credentials as a Republican Party insider and gives people what they think is proof that some of what he says is true.
Not only that, but it’s also not a true reflection of his job. Stevens doesn’t matter at all in the Republican Party; the Romney team didn’t even like him. A lot of people saw him as the loser who made Romney a loser.
He has been beaten and battered by Trump to the point where only MSNBC and retreads at the Lincoln Project take him seriously anymore. In order to feed the anger of leftists, he often says stupid things.
