On Thursday, Americans got a peek at just how rotten things really got when Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), helmed by Elon Musk, revealed that billions of your tax dollars went straight into the pockets of the unborn, the undead, and — yes — toddlers.
You read that right. According to Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer, at least $69 million in unemployment checks went to individuals who don’t even exist yet. One “recipient” had a birth year of 2154. Another 24,500 supposed claimants were over the age of 115 — well beyond the current oldest-living American — and they helped themselves to another $59 million. But perhaps the most ridiculous abuse? DOGE found 28,000 “unemployed” toddlers, all under age 5, had somehow claimed a combined $254 million in benefits.
This is the legacy of Democrat rule. A bloated, careless, unaccountable government that thinks it’s above scrutiny — until now.
“Your tax dollars were going to pay fraudulent unemployment claims for fake people born in the future!” Musk posted on X, calling it “so crazy” that even he had to re-read the numbers several times. And let’s not forget: this isn’t just COVID-era panic spending. This is systemic rot allowed to fester through decades of laziness and left-wing governance.
These revelations came during a Thursday cabinet meeting where Secretary Chavez-DeRemer briefed President Trump, pledging to work with inspectors general to recover the stolen money and return it to the Treasury. That’s the difference between this administration and the last: Trump builds. Biden bled us dry.
Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) chimed in with brutal clarity: “Of course toddlers and someone with a birthdate 129 years in the future are unemployed, but they definitely don’t qualify for unemployment benefits.” She vowed to keep working with DOGE to restore basic competence — a word that hasn’t been used in connection with the federal government since Trump left office in 2021.
And Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) isn’t taking it lightly either. Citing the staggering $135 to $400 billion stolen in unemployment fraud since COVID, she reminded Americans that House Republicans already passed legislation to extend the statute of limitations and hold these criminals — and bureaucratic enablers — accountable.
But the problem didn’t just pop out of nowhere. Biden’s pick to run the Labor Department, Julie Su, was the queen of chaos during her time managing California’s unemployment program, where she oversaw an estimated $30-40 billion in fraudulent payments. Of course, she failed upward — as they so often do in the Democrat swamp.
Now, Trump and Musk are doing the real work. Musk has made it clear: there were no sanity checks in place. Nobody at the Biden-era Labor Department thought it might be a red flag if a newborn baby or a 150-year-old corpse was claiming unemployment. That level of incompetence isn’t just insulting — it’s criminal.
This is why America elected Trump — again. We were sick of watching our country bleed money while bureaucrats shrugged and said, “Oops.” We wanted someone who would rip open the books, name names, and put an end to this madness.
