DNC Picks Their Next Candidate – It’s Worse Than You Can Imagine

The Democratic Party is in full-blown panic mode, scrambling for a leader who can stop President Trump’s America First resurgence. And in a sign of just how desperate they are, some are whispering the unthinkable: a Cuomo 2028 presidential run.

That’s right—the same Andrew Cuomo who resigned in disgrace amid sexual harassment allegations and a massive COVID death cover-up is now being floated as the future of the Democratic Party. But before he aims for the White House, Cuomo is reportedly days away from announcing a run for New York City mayor, setting up what could be a brutal showdown against the already scandal-ridden Eric Adams.

For the left, this is what rock bottom looks like.

Cuomo: From Political Pariah to Democrat Savior?

Cuomo, who has spent the last few years lurking in the shadows after resigning in disgrace, is suddenly being framed as the tough-guy Democrats need to “stand up to Trump.” Apparently, his record of corruption, authoritarian lockdowns, and nursing home scandals is no longer an issue now that Democrats have abandoned any pretense of standards.

“We don’t need a Mr. Nice Guy,” Rep. Ritchie Torres told the New York Post. “We need a Mr. Tough Guy.”

Translation: Democrats don’t care about Cuomo’s past. They just want someone willing to go to war with Trump and the MAGA movement.

The irony? Cuomo isn’t the fighter they think he is. When Trump was president, Cuomo spent more time grandstanding on CNN than actually running New York. His COVID “leadership” turned out to be a disaster, with his administration underreporting nursing home deaths while forcing seniors into deadly environments. Meanwhile, his own party forced him out over sexual harassment claims they now want voters to forget.

The Democratic Civil War: Adams vs. Cuomo

Cuomo’s first test won’t be a presidential run—it’ll be taking on New York City Mayor Eric Adams in what’s shaping up to be a Democratic bloodbath. Adams, now under federal investigation, has his own Trump connection, having attended Trump’s 2017 inauguration and spoken positively about the president in the past. That alone makes him a prime target for the radical left.

The Cuomo-Adams showdown is a proxy war for the future of the Democratic Party. Cuomo is positioning himself as the no-nonsense Democrat who can take on Trump, while Adams is trying to hold onto his crumbling coalition. And if Cuomo wins? The media will immediately start pushing him as the Democratic Party’s next savior for 2028.

The Democrats’ 2028 Dilemma

Even if Cuomo pulls off a mayoral victory, his road to 2028 is anything but clear. His past scandals won’t just vanish, and as a NYC mayor, he’d have little time to campaign on a national level. Even those within his own inner circle aren’t convinced he’s a viable candidate.

“There is absolutely no good reason for him to run for president,” a former Cuomo aide admitted. “He’s too damaged, and people won’t let that go.”

With other Democratic names like Gavin Newsom, Gretchen Whitmer, and Josh Shapiro circling the 2028 race, Cuomo’s potential candidacy shows just how directionless the Democratic Party has become. They’re grasping at straws, hoping for a savior who can take on Trump’s America First movement.

But here’s the truth: there is no Democrat who can match Trump. No matter how much they scheme, no matter how many scandals they try to erase, Trump has already reshaped America’s political landscape. The MAGA movement is stronger than ever, and the left’s desperation only proves it.

The Cuomo revival attempt is nothing but a Hail Mary—one that’s doomed to fail.
