Democrats Predict Trump’s Next Move, Proving They’re Deranged

The View is at it again.

Joy Behar told her audience Tuesday that President Trump is “looking for this kind of pandemonium” so he can “declare martial law or something and also cancel the midterms.”

Her evidence? Trump supports protesters in Iran while also enforcing immigration law in America.

That’s it. That’s the logic. Supporting freedom abroad and enforcing laws at home equals secret dictatorship plot.

“Watch Out for This Guy”

Behar’s warning was ominous.

“I really worry that Trump is looking for this kind of pandemonium to go on… so that he could declare martial law or something and also cancel the midterms. Watch out for this guy.”

Sunny Hostin helpfully chimed in: “Well under martial law you won’t have elections.”

Thanks for the civics lesson, Sunny. Now explain how enforcing immigration law leads to canceled elections.

They can’t. Because the connection doesn’t exist. It’s a fever dream dressed up as political analysis.

The Iran “Hypocrisy” That Isn’t

Behar’s opening complaint: “Trump is worried about protesters in Iran. He’s ready to go and take on the government of Iran to protect the protesters in Iran, but not in this country.”

Let’s unpack this galaxy-brain take.

Iranian protesters are being massacred by a theocratic regime for demanding freedom. Over 544 are dead. More than 10,000 detained. The government is shooting people in the streets for wanting basic human rights.

American “protesters” in Minneapolis are interfering with lawful federal operations, blocking vehicles, and in one case, attempting vehicular homicide against federal agents.

These situations are not comparable. Supporting people who want freedom is not the same as tolerating people who attack law enforcement.

But to Behar, both are “protesters,” so Trump is a hypocrite for treating them differently.

“Who Is Following Him Anymore?”

Behar asked rhetorically: “Who is following him anymore? Who likes him? Who are you? How much more does he have to do?”

Allow me to answer: approximately 77 million Americans voted for Trump in 2024. His approval ratings remain strong with his base. His policies on immigration, the economy, and foreign policy are popular.

But The View exists in a bubble where everyone they know hates Trump, so they assume everyone hates Trump.

The 2024 election was less than two years ago. Behar might remember it — Trump won.

Alyssa Farah Griffin: “A Lot of Us Are Really Angry at ICE”

The allegedly conservative voice on the panel offered her contribution.

“A lot of us are really angry at ICE right now because of what we saw in Minneapolis.”

What we saw in Minneapolis was a woman drive her car at federal agents, attempting to kill them. An agent defended himself. The woman died.

That’s what makes Farah Griffin “angry at ICE”? An agent not letting himself be run over?

She acknowledged ICE agents have “been shot at in a number of states” — but still framed the situation as a reason to be angry at the agents, not the people shooting at them.

This is the “reasonable Republican” take. Blame the victims of attacks for the “tinderbox situation.”

The Martial Law Fantasy

Let’s address the actual claim: Trump wants to declare martial law and cancel the midterms.

There is zero evidence for this. Trump has never suggested canceling elections. He’s never hinted at martial law. He’s conducting normal law enforcement operations through normal legal channels.

The “evidence” Behar cites is that Trump said Democrats might impeach him if they win Congress. That’s not a threat to cancel elections — it’s a prediction about what Democrats would do with power.

A prediction that’s probably accurate, given Democrats are openly plotting their third impeachment.

“He Can Be Convicted and Sent to Jail”

Behar revealed her actual concern: “He does not want that to happen.”

She thinks Trump will cancel elections because he’s afraid of impeachment and jail.

But impeachment doesn’t send anyone to jail. Conviction by the Senate removes from office — it doesn’t result in criminal penalties. Behar doesn’t understand basic constitutional procedures.

And if Trump wanted to avoid accountability, the worst strategy imaginable would be declaring martial law. That would guarantee unified opposition, military refusal, and immediate removal.

The martial law theory doesn’t even make internal sense.

The Projection Is Obvious

Democrats spent four years claiming the 2016 election was stolen by Russia. They impeached Trump twice. They prosecuted him in multiple jurisdictions. They tried to remove him from ballots.

Now they’re openly planning to impeach him again if they win Congress. Their coalition groups have drafted 25 articles of impeachment. They’re calling him “the single greatest threat to human civilization.”

But Trump is the one threatening democracy by… enforcing immigration law.

The projection is staggering. Democrats are explicitly planning to use government power to remove a president they can’t beat at the ballot box. And they accuse Trump of wanting to cancel elections.

This Is Why No One Trusts Media

The View reaches millions of viewers. They present themselves as offering political insight.

What they actually offer is unhinged conspiracy theories with no evidentiary basis.

Trump supporting Iranian freedom protesters while enforcing American immigration law becomes evidence of a martial law plot. An ICE agent defending himself against vehicular assault becomes reason to be “angry at ICE.”

There’s no logic. There’s no evidence. There’s just Orange Man Bad extrapolated to its most absurd conclusion.

The Actual Timeline

Here’s what’s actually happening:

Midterm elections are scheduled for November 2026. They will happen. Trump will campaign for Republicans. Democrats will campaign for Democrats. Voters will decide.

If Democrats win the House, they’ll probably impeach Trump. He said so himself. It’s not a secret — their coalition has announced it publicly.

If Republicans hold Congress, Trump will continue governing according to his agenda.

That’s democracy. Normal democracy. The same democracy that’s functioned for 250 years.

Joy Behar’s martial law fantasy exists only in her imagination — and in the imaginations of View watchers who’ve been conditioned to believe Trump is Hitler.

The Real Threat to Elections

You know what actually threatens elections? Telling millions of viewers that the President plans to cancel them.

That rhetoric delegitimizes democracy. It tells people their votes won’t count. It breeds cynicism and despair.

If Behar actually believed Trump would cancel the midterms, she’d be preparing for armed resistance, not yapping on daytime television.

She doesn’t believe it. It’s just content. Fear-mongering for ratings. Conspiracy theories for clicks.

And millions of Americans watch it and think they’re getting news.
