In case you were wondering where China, the one superpower that has been suspiciously silent so far, stands on the Ukraine invasion, wonder no more.
After inflicting COVID upon the planet, China has clearly decided to cozy up even more deeply with the Russians, offering them an open lifeline financially as Western sanctions mount.
Too bad the sanctions that mount the most, namely bans on Russian oil, appear to disinterest the Biden administration.
The Biden administration also seems breathtakingly unaware of the fact that war could go well beyond the realm of Ukraine, especially with Russia and China appearing to form a suspicious tag team.
Which makes their rather weak support of Ukraine all the more tragic, considering how valiantly Ukrainians are fighting for liberty and freedom.
Far harder than woke spoiled snowflakes here would ever bother to fight, and the Biden administration’s snowflake sanctions (given the refusal to ban Russian oil) are hardly the type that will keep Putin at bay, as noted by Republican Rep. Mike Gallagher of Wisconsin.
“When the dust settles, despite the very real bravery on display by the Ukrainian people, deterrence in this case failed,” Gallagher declared, “the Biden Administration thought that sanctions and tweets would be enough to deter, but they failed to apply the kind of hard power that would have deterred Putin from launching this war in the first place.”
As usual, Biden leads from behind, though the stakes are vastly higher now than they are in Afghanistan, especially given the China factor.
After all, China crippled the world for two years from a supposed “accident” with the virus. Imagine what it might do intentionally.
“By the way, a war that could still escalate and involve us at any moment,” Gallagher added, with specific reference to China.
“If the Biden Administration is wedded to this approach that they are calling integrated deterrence, which is just liberal code for cutting hard power, I fear deterrence will fail again in a bigger stage which is the conflict over Taiwan,” the representative continued.
No kidding.
After all, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has recently made a series of proclamations that are surprisingly bold for the Chinese regime, going as far as to boast of a gargantuan collaboration between the two nuclear powers.
“No matter how perilous the international landscape, we will maintain our strategic focus and promote the development of a comprehensive China-Russia partnership in the new era,” Yi proclaimed.
“The new era.” Chilling. Let’s hope that’s not an oblique refence to the elitist, globalist, new world order jet set that the Democrats are apparently dying to be card carrying members of, national sovereignty be damned.
Especially since Americans are not exactly considered the most “important” to virus-mongering, hypersonic missile-launching China.
“The friendship between the two peoples is iron clad,” Yi continued, adding that the relationship between the Chinese and the Russians is “one of the most crucial bilateral relationships in the world.”
Yeah. In taking down the United States, no doubt, while Biden sleeps at the helm.
Which is especially clear when China openly blames the United States for Putin’s invasion.
“Some people, while being vocal about the principle of sovereignty on the Ukraine issue, have kept undermining China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity on the Taiwan question,” Yi sniffed, “this is a blatant double standards.”
As if China has any room whatsoever to talk about double standards.
That said, China’s surprisingly vocal stance should make all Americans take a pause, especially since the Biden administration apparently let China call the shots in the recently invigorated Iran deal …
