As per the judge’s ruling, the ATF is unable to implement the new regulation on GOA members, Tennessee Firearms Association members, Virginia Citizens Defense League members, and citizens of Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, and Utah.
Although GOA had earlier helped secure a partial temporary restraining order to prevent the rule’s enforcement against its members and several other plaintiffs, the original rule went into effect on May 20.
Senior Vice President of GOA Erich Pratt said as follows:
“For our members, this is a huge win that comes at a critical moment. Before the rule even went into effect, the ATF conducted an early morning raid in Arkansas on a resident who was allegedly violating these restrictions, leading to the citizen’s subsequent death. The administration’s unrelenting assault on gun owners has already proven fatal, and enforcing this law would have unavoidably resulted in additional needless deaths. GOA and its esteemed allies will not give up on opposing this despotic and lawless government.”
Concealing guns is merely the first step toward implementing universal background checks. Since it is aware of this policy, the Biden administration has worked diligently to enact it. Conventional legislative methods, such as House votes, are insufficient to approve UBCs. As a result, the Biden administration imposed gun grabs through administrative authority.
This highlights the necessity of opposing any federal gun control measures, especially those that employ nullification. The time has come to stop putting up with further restrictions on our freedom to bear arms.
