Team Biden Spooked – Everyone Goes MIA To Avoid Congressional Guests

DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has once again declined an invitation to testify before the House Homeland Security Committee, a decision that has drawn sharp criticism from Chairman Mark Green (R-TN). The upcoming hearing, titled “Voices for the Victims: The Heartbreaking Reality of the Mayorkas Border Crisis,” will feature testimonies from individuals who have tragically lost loved ones due to illegal alien crime and fentanyl poisoning.

One of the key witnesses is Angel Mom Tammy Nobles, whose daughter Kayla Hamilton, aged 20, was brutally murdered and raped by an illegal alien MS-13 gang member. This gang member had been released into the U.S. as an unaccompanied alien child (UAC). Nobles previously testified before the House Judiciary Committee, emphasizing that if stricter border policies were in place, her daughter might still be alive.

Another witness, Angel Mom Josephine Dunn, will share the heart-wrenching story of her daughter Ashley Marie Dunn, who died at 26 from fentanyl poisoning. Ashley unknowingly purchased fentanyl, thinking it was oxycodone, and tragically died the day after her son’s fifth birthday.

These personal stories underscore the devastating impact of the ongoing border crisis and the surge in fentanyl-related deaths in the United States. Fentanyl, primarily manufactured in Mexico and trafficked by drug cartels, is causing a significant number of overdose deaths across the country, with more than 100,000 Americans dying from drug overdoses or poisonings in 2022 alone.

Chairman Green expressed frustration with Mayorkas’s refusal to participate in the hearing, emphasizing the importance of congressional oversight and the need for accountability in handling the border crisis. He warned that the committee would continue its oversight duties, with or without Mayorkas’s cooperation.

This hearing is not just about giving voice to the victims; it’s a clarion call for a return to the stringent and effective border security measures seen under Trump’s leadership. Chairman Green’s determination to proceed with or without Mayorkas’s cooperation sends a clear message that the committee is unwavering in its commitment to expose the failures of the current administration and highlight the need for a return to policies that put America and its citizens first.
