Friday, U.S. President Biden claimed that he is going to ask Congress for more money to make a new coronavirus vaccine. He also said he might make everyone take it, even if they had received the shot before.
Biden, who is on holiday in the Lake Tahoe area, informed reporters, “I signed off early this morning on a plan we have to give to Congress. It’s a request for more money for a new vaccine that is needed and works.”
He also said that, once the latest vaccines are ready and come out of the lab, it is “probable” that “everyone should get it.”
The White House asked Congress for $40 million on August 11. The request didn’t say anything about coronavirus money, however, it did include money from taxpayers for Ukraine.
FOX News says that in 2022, the Biden government asked Congress for $9.25 billion for the fight against the virus, but Congress said no.
The Associated Press reported that officials are waiting for an improved coronavirus vaccine that includes one form of the omicron strain identified as XBB.1.5.
The new vaccine is different from the combination of shots that are used now. These shots mix the original coronavirus strain together with the more common omicron versions from the previous year.
Breitbart News said that people will be told to get a new coronavirus shot within the next month. This is because Pfizer, Moderna, and Novavax have been working on doses that include the XBB version.
Almost a year after Biden indicated the coronavirus outbreak was “over” in September of 2022, the latest booster program would begin. He stated, “We’re continuing to put a lot of hard work into it.”
Last year was the first time Biden asked Americans to receive a coronavirus vaccine booster. He suggested that people get one more booster shot every year.
“Get an additional COVID shot if you are fully vaccinated. Every year.” During an address on his fake White House film set, Biden stated, “That is it.”
The president received his fifth coronavirus injection on live TV, even though he had gotten the virus and gotten better from it in July.
